When should I use SportPump?
SportPump can be used anytime to relieve pain and swelling, however, it is most commonly used in rehabilitation settings to reduce acute, subacute and post operative pain and swelling.
What is the difference between SportPump and GameReady?
SportPump requires no ice or water, unlike GameReady. SportPump can treat two patients at different, overlapping times, however, GameReady can only treat two patients simultaneously.
How long is a vasopneumatic cryo-compression treatment with SportPump?
It may vary from person to person, but typically 15 minutes is sufficient to expedite the body’s circulatory system and reduce pain and swelling.
As a rehabilitation provider, how can I get reimbursed for administering SportPump?
Most medical insurance payors will reimburse for vasopneumatic cryo-compression if you bill the CPT code 97016, and provide adequate documentation of pain and swelling with associated girth measurements, however, to find out if a specific medical insurance payor will reimburse for this treatment, contact the payor representative and/or refer to the payor contract/plan.
Can I return SportPump if I am not satisfied?
